DNT key

All the unmanned cabins in Oslomarka are locked with a standard DNT key. The key is for DNT members only. 

Special key

Nydalshytta, Mustadkroken and Langøyene are locked with a special key/code lock. Read on UT.no about the cabin you are renting for information about the key. 

Serviced cabins

The serviced cabins Sæteren gård and Kobberhaughytta have their own managers and are not locked. Information about activities, accommodation and opening hours can be found on their website. 

Yes, all the unmanned cabins in Oslomarka must be pre-booked before you travel and spend the night at the cabins. Day visits are allowed, but must leave the cabin before 18:00. 

Yes, there are several cabins in the field where it is adapted for dogs.

The price depends on what type of cabin it is, what age category, and whether each individual is a member or not. There are discounted prices for members. Please note that at least one person in your party must be a member, although it is possible to pre-book everyone as a "non-member" in the booking system. This is due to the fact that only members can be holders of the DNT key.

You can also contact the Info Centre at info.oslo@dnt.no. You will be refunded in accordance with the cancellation policy of the account you paid with. 

At the unmanned forest cabins there is no food, you have to bring it yourself. However, there are cups, vessels, pans, saucepans, gas, firewood, knives and forks.

DNT Oslo and the surrounding area has the cabins Nydalshytta, Mustadkroken, and Langøyene, which are especially suitable for larger groups. These cabins have several beds and you book the cabin in its entirety. Please note that these cabins are locked with a special key and have their own prices. Bøvelstad, Katnosdammen and Fjellvang are also suitable for large groups. Information about access, prices and other useful things can be found on UT.no. To book the cabin at school class price, you must contact the tour information. For all other groups, the cabin is booked online. 

You can spend the night anywhere in the field as long as you take into account the right to roam. The general rule if you are going to set up camp is to have a distance of at least 150 meters from a private area. Along the lakes in the field, there are often perfect conditions for overnight stays all year round. Many people like to stay on one of the many hills (peaks) in the field.

Yes, if you want to spend the night close to a DNT cabin to be able to use the facilities there, then you have to make up your mind and sign up for the cabin protocol. It is not possible to pre-book a tent pitch with the use of facilities, but you settle by paying with Vipps. If you do not have Vipps, you can send an e-mail to the trip information, and we will send you an invoice afterwards. 

You can rent and pay for all the beds in the cabin and not fill them up, but you must expect that this does not give you exclusive rights to the cabin.
