Easter holiday in Finse
Strap on your skis and head to Finsehytta this Easter! We promise plenty of snow and a great atmosphere at the cabin.
Children activities
Every day throughout Easter, "Barnas Turlag" organizes activities for both young and old. On Easter Saturday, we are hosting a costume race for all children, focusing on the joy of skiing. All participants will be rewarded for their effort.
Consert with Petter Braaten
On Maundy Thursday, Petter Braaten will entertain at Finsehytta. There will also be a mini-quiz with prizes!
Skiing
From Finsehytta, you can follow marked trails southwards on Hardangervidda, or northwards into Skarvheimen. The trails to Klemsbu, Orangehytta (the Orange Cabin), and the round trip over Hardangerjøkulen, are popular marked day trips. We offer rental of pulks and snowshoes. There are also many popular mountain peaks in the area suitable for both mountain skiing and ski touring.

Drop-in kite course
Finse is an eldorado for kiters and ski sailors. There's a unique feeling of letting the wind guide you back and forth across Finsevann when most people might have stayed indoors. Skikite offers Drop-in kite courses throughout Easter! Sign up at the reception.

Outside area
During Easter, you can buy refreshments at our snow bar! Here we sell ice cream, soda, and freshly made Norwegian pancakes with homemade jam. We also have a play area for children with a sledding hill, connect four, and much more. Our firepit spot is also a great place to relax during Easter. After a long ski trip, there's nothing better than gathering around the fire with a view of the majestic Hardangerjøkulen. If you wish to barbecue, this can be ordered in the morning of the same day at the reception.
Finse skilag (Finse ski club) has a rich program during Easter. Guests at Finsehytta are also welcome to participate.
We hope many will make the trip to Finse during Easter.
Welcome to the mountains!
